abstract = "The Cerrado is the most diverse savanna in the world and
recognized as agriculture region. The coupled responsibility
conservation-food production challenges the maintenance of
ecological services. The spatial comprehension of the land cover
stands out as main knowledge to achieve natural resources
management and ecological services studies. This work aimed to
describe spatial configuration of natural vegetation in different
basins of the Cerrado based on patches metrics. There were
selected five 5th level basins of five Cerrado ecoregions to map
the land cover and generate the patches metrics. These metrics
were normalized by log10 to proceed the clustering based on
vegetation and metrics. The patches metrics allowed the evaluation
of different basins and evidenced the similarities on the spatial
configuration. Considering all the vegetation cover the MPE,
MedPS, MPS, MPFD, AWMPFD, PSCov and PSSD showed more than 95 %
similarity. These normalized values should be used in weighing
                         environmental services modelling.",
